The Niarchos Family's Discoveries (Ire) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), a full-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Alpha Centauri (Ire) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), will not step out again in 2021 and will instead wait for the G1 QIPCO 1000 Guineas next year. Sunday's G1 Moyglare Stud S. heroine, also a half-sister to G1 Coronation S. winner Alpine Star (Ire) (Sea The Moon {Ger}), does hold an entry in the Oct. 8 G1 bet365 Fillies' Mile at Newmarket. Connections were also considering a trip to France on Arc weekend or a run in the Breeders' Cup, but have decided to put their filly into winter quarters instead.

Trainer Jessica Harrington told Racing TV, “Discoveries is not going to run again this year. She's a big filly who has had four runs, and I think that's enough for her.

“She's won her Group 1, and it would be terrible to go back and get beaten in another Group 1, so I'm going to leave her be. That [1000 Guineas] is where she will go.”

Fourth on debut at Leopardstown on June 3, the bay graduated at The Curragh later that month before running third to Caravaggio filly Agartha (Ire) and Sunset Shiraz (Ire) (Time Test {GB}) in the G2 Debutante S. there on Aug. 21. Agartha was 3/4 of a length second, with Sunset Shiraz another two lengths behind at The Curragh on Sunday.
